About The Mansfield Group

The Mansfield Group is an organization founded by Stephen Mansfield to support his own work, to launch strategic ventures, and to do good in the world. The organization began in 2000. In those days Stephen was just beginning to gain a reputation for his writing but he knew that he wanted to be more than just an author and he knew that he wanted an organization that would be about more than just him. He envisioned the “group” as a band of companies and ventures, some of them for profit and some geared exclusively to service. More than a decade later, this vision has become a reality.

The Mansfield Group not only orchestrates the work of Stephen Mansfield—his life as a writer, a speaker and a consultant—but it also serves as the parent company for a number of successful ventures. In 2004, for example, the Mansfield Group created Chartwell Literary Group, which has become a wonderfully innovative and successful firm devoted to creating and managing literary projects. Over the following years, other strategic ventures were spun out of The Mansfield Group and you can read about all of them on this website.

Perhaps the most thrilling recent development to arise from The Mansfield Group is The Global Leadership Development Fund. This non-profit foundation is devoted to funding character-based leadership training around the world. You can find out more about this fine effort and even have an opportunity to participate in it as you tour this website.

The Global Leadership Development Fund

The Global Leadership Development Fund is a foundation begun by Stephen and Beverly Mansfield for the purpose of providing character-based leadership education outside of the United States. The need for this kind of training first became obvious to Stephen as he traveled the world and worked with leaders from a wide variety of fields. He saw that corrupt, misguided leadership is often at the core of social problems. He also met many leaders who were in crisis and who sought him out because they needed help in becoming skilled in the art of meaningful cultural change rather than in the mere acquisition of personal or political power.

Initially, Stephen worked with these leaders on an individual basis and he met with great success. In time, he realized that he could multiply his impact if he created training events that reached larger numbers and that also involved the expertise of additional teachers. For years Stephen and Beverly funded these events themselves. As invitations and opportunities increased, though, they realized they needed partners, people who would be willing to help finance these strategic ventures. Thus, The Global Leadership Development Fund was created.

Contributions to this Fund are completely tax deductible and are used exclusively to finance leadership training events internationally. Neither Stephen and Beverly nor any member of the board of advisors they have gathered around them draw salary or personal income from this Fund, nor are contributed funds even used for internal administrative expenses. All money donated to The Global Leadership Development Fund is used directly to support training events and networking overseas. In other words, your contribution will do what you have given it for and nothing else. You can use the links below to contribute by check or credit card or to acquire more information..
